Bead Peeps Swap N Hop 2018

Welcome everyone and thanks for stopping by on your way through the Bead Peeps Swap N Hop. A big shout out to our hostess,  Linda Anderson. Without you, this project never would have taken off.  My partner of this adventure is Terry Jeanette Carter.  She provided all the inspiring elements for the jewelry that I created.  I would show you pictures of everything in the "raw" state, if I hadn't accidentally deleted them off my phone. Ever since 2018 began, I have been electronically challenged;  everything that can go wrong has and I am probably lucky that I haven't been electrocuted, so there you have it.

So, with that said, let me show you the pictures of what I created with the wonderful goodies that Terry sent.  Please remember the whole "electronically challenged" bit and forgive any blurry photos.

How about a wire wrapped sea shell for inspiration?

Or little sparkly/gold/coppery rounds?

Peachy sparkles:

Old guitar strings, anyone?

Pink and purple/blue Czech glass?

More shell action:

And, the cutest little pink and gray stones:

Now, I know that Terry is going, "But, wait, I sent you more than that."  And, it's true, she was even more generous than what I've shown here.  I just realized that I didn't take photos of the wire wrapped sea glass piece.  Forgive me, Terry.  I will add it at a later date, just remember the whole ELECTRONICALLY CHALLENGED, THING!!!  It's real, people, the struggle is REAL!

Here is a list of all the other participants, so get to hopping!!  Remember, Terry Jeanette Carter
is my partner, so stop there first.

And away she goes...

Can you guess what it is?  I sent my bead selection off to my partner in the swap and hop being hosted by Linda Anderson of Cherry On Top Design Co..  I really hope that Terry over at Tapping Flamingo is happy and challenged by what I selected.  I chose a focal from an artist that I love and the rest of the beads came from my own stash. Whenever I've done these swap and hops, I always look at what I put together for my partner and think, why didn't you ever put this stuff together and make something with it yourself. I guess that's when you know you've made good choices about what to send to your partner.  When you can see the possibilities and want to keep it for yourself, it's time to send it on to your partner.

I think Terry is really going to be challenged by the color palette that I went with, but I know she is up for it.  Hopefully she will find it a fun, carefree and springy combination.  I better not say anything more than that.  Now I just have to wait on pins and needles for my package to arrive from Terry.

Tomorrow it's back to work for me, so always remember...

It's Never Too Late...

Wow! I didn't realize it had been so long since I had been here.  You know what they say though, it's never too late to start again.

I'm participating in a bead swap and hop, hosted by Linda Anderson from Cherry On Top Design. Co.  Basically, you sign up to be partnered up with another bead lover, follow the rules for picking beads, swap beads with your partner and write up a big reveal of what you made with what your partner sent you.  Easy as pie! I was matched up with my partner on Tuesday and would like to introduce you to:  Terry of Tapping Flamingo fame.  I am super excited to get back in the swap and hop game.

In parting, always remember...

Love Ya!
